In Helldivers 2, grab Medals early for fast Warbond upgrades, then stack Super Credits later to unlock premium bonds and Superstore gear without wasting caps.

In Helldivers 2, the question hits pretty fast: do you chase Medals, or do you stack Super Credits. They're not competing currencies, really—they're two gears in the same machine. Medals turn into actual combat power inside Warbonds, while Super Credits open the doors to new Warbonds and Superstore rotations. If you're short on time and you still want options, some players also look at marketplaces like U4GM for quick access to game-related services, but in regular play the real win is knowing what to prioritise so you're not wasting runs.

Start With Medals, Not Debates

If you're fresh out of basic training, Medals are the move. The free "Helldivers Mobilize" Warbond has loads of gear that actually changes how missions feel—better primaries, useful boosters, armour that fits your style. You'll earn Medals just by playing: mission clears, Personal Orders, Major Orders. And yeah, difficulty matters. Push up into the nastier operations when you can handle it and the payout jumps. The funny part is that spending Medals can help your Super Credit plans too, since some Warbond pages include Super Credits tucked in as unlocks.

Super Credits Are About Planning, Not Panic

Once your kit stops feeling scuffed, Super Credits start to matter more. Premium Warbonds cost a chunk, and the Superstore's timed armour sets can tempt you into bad decisions. You can buy credits, sure, but plenty of folks grind them from Points of Interest. You'll see veterans queue Trivial missions, sprint the map, crack open bunkers, ping radar towers, then bounce. It's not glamorous. It is efficient. The trick is to treat it like a loop you do on purpose, not something you mindlessly spam until you hate the game.

Caps, Waste, and That "I'll Spend Later" Trap

Medals cap at 250, and you will hit it sooner than you think—especially if you're knocking out orders and playing higher difficulty. When you're capped, every Medal you "earn" is basically burned. So spend them. Keep a little buffer if you want, but don't sit at the ceiling. Super Credits have way more breathing room at 50,000, so you can bank those without stress. Still, it helps to set a simple rule: first save 1,000 for the next Warbond, then decide if cosmetics are worth it.

Keeping the Loop Sustainable

The best rhythm is simple: use Medals to build a loadout that makes hard missions feel doable, then use Super Credits to unlock more ways to play. Check every two-person bunker you pass, because that's where a lot of your "free" progress hides. If you're the type who likes starting fresh or swapping platforms, some players even browse Helldivers 2 Accounts when they want a different setup without the long rebuild, and that idea fits the same mindset—less waiting, more dropping in and getting to work.
