The Royal Architect guards hit like they mean it, and when Queen Atziri shows up as the pinnacle boss, the fight stops being "fun chaos" and turns into "hands sweating, don't misclick."
Performance, Balance, and Why It Sticks
What surprised me most is how playable it is during the rush. League starts are usually a slideshow if you've got anything else open, but the CPU work is obvious—my FPS is steadier, even when the screen's busy. Balance changes feel aimed at reducing those dumb moments. The armour damage floor fix means you're not watching hits do nothing, and buffs like Ice Shot and Firestorm make mapping feel smoother without turning everything into a one-button snooze. How I'm Approaching the Grind
If you want the league to pay out, treat room links like a plan, not a gamble: connect currency and gear paths early, then push your risk when you've got options to bail. You'll still die sometimes, because that's PoE, but at least you'll die with intent. The economy's lively, the game feels busy, and it's the first time in a while I've caught myself thinking about 1.0 in 2026 and feeling optimistic. Whether you're chasing mirrors or just trying to live your bear fantasy, slipping in some PoE 2 Items cheap at the right moment can save a ton of time and keep the focus on the fun part—getting back into Wraeclast and staying there.
