If you’ve spent any time on the frontlines lately, you already know that the massive Illuminate Leviathan warship is an absolute nightmare to deal with. This flying fortress acts as a literal shield for enemy forces, shrugging off standard stratagems and regular weapon fire like it’s nothing. By default, the Leviathan boasts an intimidating Armor Value of 5—which puts its hull right on par with a heavy tank. If you’re just blindly firing rockets or shooting at its main body, you’re doing nothing but wasting precious Super Earth ammunition.

To actually bring this behemoth down without running your squad completely dry, you have to break through that exterior plating. The key to the entire fight is shattering specific armor components to expose the vulnerable, fleshy internal structures hidden underneath. Once that armor is stripped, you can start dealing massive damage directly to its core health pool.

Identifying Leviathan Weak Spots
The Leviathan has an enormous base health pool, usually sitting somewhere between 17,500 and 20,000 HP. Trying to whittle that down through brute force will get your squad wiped. Instead, you need to focus all your team’s firepower on precise break points.

The Bottom Engine Vents (The Three Circles): If you look at the Leviathan’s underbelly, you’ll spot three glowing blue circles. These are the engine vents, and they are your golden ticket. Specifically, targeting the front-most circle is the most reliable strategy available. Concentrated fire on this spot will completely shatter the vent, stripping away its heavy armor plating and leaving the engine core totally exposed.

The Head Wings & Fins: Flanking the front section of the ship are massive side "wings" or fins. Each of these structures has an independent health pool of roughly 6,000 HP. If your squad manages to break them off, you do two things at once: you permanently strip away the annoying mounted turrets in that section, and you leave behind a major structural weak spot that can be exploited by lighter weapons.

The Tail Fin: Located at the very rear of the warship, the tail or back fin is actually the most fragile point of the ship's exterior. It breaks significantly faster than any other section on the Leviathan. Popping this piece open creates a massive, heavily exposed structural gap that allows you to easily pump damage straight into the hull.

How to Reduce Its Health Fast
Once you successfully shatter any of these outer armor components, the smoking, glowing interior drops down to an Armor Piercing 4 (AP4) status. This is where the magic happens. At AP4, you no longer need heavy anti-tank ordnance to deal damage; mid-tier support weapons and primary armor-penetrating firearms can step in and deal full, lethal damage directly to the ship's internal health pool.

1. Coordinated Anti-Tank Reloads (Fastest Kill Time)
The absolute fastest way to delete a Leviathan from the sky is through old-fashioned teamwork using a Team-Loaded Support Weapon. If you have two players working together, you can melt the warship in seconds.

Recoilless Rifle (RR): It takes about 5 to 6 direct hits to the front engine circle to bring the ship down entirely. If a teammate carries your backpack and assists with instant reloads, you can cycle through all 6 shots in rapid succession before the Leviathan even has a chance to turn its turrets on you.

The SPEAR: The automated target-lock on the SPEAR naturally tracks the front section of the Leviathan. A team-loaded SPEAR crew can consistently down the entire warship in just 5 rapid shots, making it one of the cleanest counters in the game.

2. The Expose-and-Shred Strategy
If you are diving solo or find yourself separated from your team without a dedicated reloader, you can still take the ship down quickly by combining heavy bursts with high-RPM armor-shredding weapons:

Fire 2 Recoilless Rifle shots or crack open 3 Expendable Anti-Tank (EAT) rockets directly into one of the side head wings or the tail fin.

As soon as the outer shell breaks apart and reveals the glowing blue, fleshy underside, immediately swap away from your launcher.

Pull out a Heavy Machine Gun (HMG), Laser Cannon, or Autocannon, and fire continuously into that exposed AP4 gap. You’ll watch its remaining health pool melt away in real-time.

3. Strategic Stratagems
If your support weapons are out of ammo, your stratagems can pick up the slack if placed intelligently:

E/AT-12 Anti-Tank Emplacement: This stationary turret is an absolute beast for planetary defense against these warships. It can easily dismantle a Leviathan in just a few focused volleys. Even better, it packs enough internal ammo reserves to completely destroy two separate warships back-to-back if your aim is steady.

Eagle Strafing Run: Don't overlook this red stratagem. If you throw the beacon so that the strafing path deploys directly underneath and "leads" the linear flight path of the Leviathan, it can reliably rip the ship apart or strip its underbelly armor in just 1 to 2 passes.
